Greetings from western NJ
Hello, I have been restoring old radios (and cars) on and off for the past 30 years. I am 60 years old and live in Clinton Township NJ and am Chief engineer at Glassman HV where we make HV power supplies. My first radio, which I still have is a Zenith 10S669 which I found on vacation in 1974 in Virginia and stuffed it in the back seat of my 1966 Buick Skylark for the journey home.
Actually when I was a kid growing up in the Bronx I acquired most of my electronics parts from discarded radios and TV's and had many old radios that I cut up for parts (wish I had them back now). One radio that I had as a kid was a Zenith 12S568 which I used as a phonograph amplifier. That set had an odd 6AC5 P-P output with a beautiful row of 6J5G's that I kept polished to enjoy the warm glow of the filaments. I recently found that radio chassis on e-bay and have just finished restoring it.
Some photos of my collection are at:

I just bought 5 "new" radios at the Kutztown swap meet and just started working on an Admiral 477-50L. The others are a Philco 37-610 that need lots of work, a Philco 38-89 which is in very nice condition, a Sonora RCU-208 which is also in nice condition, and a Zenith 6S222 which a very nice original that I hesitate to do much to other than clean it up.
I also post on the Philco Phorum and Antique Radio Forums. Sorry for the rambling into.

Welcome Steve! That's a neat story about the 10S669 stuffed in the backseat of a 66 Skylark.

Welcome aboard Steve. There are some nice and nicely done radios in your collection. I'm looking forward to seeing the newly acquired radios too.
That '65 stang looks like a lot of fun and the '39 Buick is a beauty. I recently finished a 75 Firebird (with 10,000 original miles) but don't take her out much.

Good to see you here, Steve. Love the pics of my favorite year Buick - last of the great pre-war grilles. A 150 Lb head!!
My back aches thinking what the block must weigh.
