Progress report on Truetone phonograph

Post by Bill Cahill on Fri Feb 27, 2009 3:48 pm

Tried the Truetone this morning that I am working on for moses 007. No audio. Found out the primary of audio output transformer has now openned up. No big surprise. Further, the idler wheel is slipping.
This machine is going to need more work.

Oh my goodness. Bill, is a certain size audio transformer needed? I think I have a couple of them around here in my parts stash.

I do have one, and it's still mounted to the remains of a one tube amp with selenium rectifier in my extra parts stash.

Well, the machine got finnished, and, mailed back. He received it safely. After installing a new idler wheel, moses reported that he is very happy with the machine.
Enjoy, Larry.

Yeah, that little Truetone is perking like a new one. Sounds good.
