I didn't mean to slight other forums. I like those other sites too. The TRF is a little different in that there are many different sections including non-radio stuff.
RAR+P is great, but pretty unwieldy for keeping up with many posts for any length of time. i am not sure how much patience over there for shooting the bull.

For a site devoted to one make I don't know how the Philco Phorum could be beat. I am not a Philco guy (have one) but I will have to check out the Bar & Grill.
I wish there were a place like that for early battery sets or Trans-Oceanics.

The yahoo group is great for questions but doesn't have alot of info archived in any organized fashion.
What is great about philcoradio.comis besides the forum, Ron has tons of information available on site.

Some individual sites have good resto information, but none is a real hub for Oceanic fans.

Before I began to specialize in Philco in 1990 (I've been involved in this hobby since 1974), I collected 20s battery sets. Sometimes I miss them, but not too often. Although, I probably should have saved one for the collection...but I did not.

I always seemd to favor Philcos, even though my first set was a Radiola 18. Something just clicked with Philco.
