Another paint yer bakelite query
Having read the previous post on painting bakelite, I have an additional question. Since the paint on my Delco is chipped in places, what is a good way to fill them in? Just paint multiple coats, or is there an inexpensive product out there?

If you're not going to strip it you can feather in the chipped places and make it reasonably smooth. Anything you would use to 'fill' would require the same feathering labor.
A primer coat sanded smooth with a block would do a bit of filling as well.
